How to Grow Wild Garlic

  • The best location for growing is a hospitable spot near shrubs and trees. It requires regular watering. It can be grown both in the garden and in a pot on the balcony.

  • Seeds must go through frost to germinate. Therefore, we plant seeds directly at the site from October to March. Plants start to germinate at approximately 5 degrees Celsius. Thin out mature seedlings to 15 x 15 cm spacing.

  • Requires moist, humus-rich and loose soil in shaded locations.

  • Wild garlic should NEVER BE PLANTED in fertilised soil! Do not fertilise the plants under any circumstances.

  • The plant does not suffer from diseases or pests.

  • Harvest whole leaves as needed. Consume them immediately, they are not suitable for storage or drying.
