1. Seed preparation: for better germination, soak the seeds before sowing for 24 hours in water. This will help soften the outer surface and speed up germination.
2. Soil preparation: Indian Rose Chestnut prefers well-drained, moist soil with slightly acidic pH. For better drainage, you can use a mixture of garden soil and perlite or peat.
3. Sowing seeds: make small holes in the soil and place one seed in each. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil.
4. Maintaining moisture: keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Water the plants regularly, especially during germination, to support their proper growth.
5. Temperature: Indian Rose Chestnut prefers a warm and humid climate. If growing the plant indoors, ensure it is in an environment with temperatures around 25-30°C. Avoid drafts that could damage the seedlings.
6. Light: Indian Rose Chestnut seedlings need bright but indirect sunlight. Once the plants become stronger, gradually start adapting them to direct sunlight.
7. Seedling care: once the plants reach the stage where they have several leaves, you can transplant them into larger pots or outdoors into the soil. Water them regularly and protect them from frost until they grow sufficiently.
8. Patience: Indian Rose Chestnut is a relatively slow-growing tree. Therefore, be patient and expect that it may take several years before it reaches larger dimensions.
