Delonix regia is a tree species from the Fabaceae family. It is an evergreen tropical tree that originates from Madagascar, but is also widely cultivated and distributed in warmer regions around the world. Growing the flamboyant tree requires a warm climate and sunny location. The plant is relatively drought-resistant, but needs appropriate care and protection from frost during winter months. Flamboyant Tree: Plant Appearance Description

The flamboyant tree is a medium-sized tree that can grow to a height of 5 to 12 meters. It has a wide, spreading crown with diagonal branches. The crown is typically bushy and forms a distinctive and beautiful tree shape. The leaves are evergreen, meaning the tree retains its green leaves throughout the year. Each leaflet is narrowly elliptical or rectangular with finely serrated edges. The flowers of the flamboyant tree are undoubtedly its most distinctive feature. They are large, orange or red and have a characteristic butterfly shape. They are clustered in groups at the ends of branches, creating a magnificent veil full of colors that attracts attention and admiration from many passersby. The flamboyant tree is considered a symbol of beauty and joy and is often planted in parks, gardens and public spaces, where it enchants visitors with its beautiful inflorescence.

How to Grow a Flamboyant Tree?

1. Soaking seeds (optional): some seeds are very hard and need to be soaked to speed up the germination process. Soak the seeds for several hours or overnight in warm water to soften them.

2. Soil preparation: fill containers or pots with suitable soil for seed germination. You can use a mixture of peat, perlite and sand, which ensures good drainage while retaining moisture.

3. Sowing seeds: sow the seeds into the soil. Make sure they are sown deep enough, about 1 cm below the soil surface.

4. Maintaining moisture: ensure the soil is moist but not waterlogged. Water the seeds regularly and maintain moisture to support germination.

5. Temperature and light: keep the containers with seeds in a warm and bright location. The flamboyant tree loves sunlight, so provide it with plenty of light.

6. Germination: flamboyant tree seeds should begin germinating within several weeks. Once seedlings appear, gradually move them to a brighter location where they will have sufficient sunlight.

7. Transplanting: once the seedlings have grown and sufficiently strengthened, you can transplant them into individual pots or to a chosen location in the garden. When transplanting, be careful not to damage the root system.
