1. Soil Preparation: Choose well-drained soil rich in nutrients. Add compost or quality garden soil.
2. Seed Germination: Before sowing, soak the seeds in water for a few hours. Then sow them into the soil about 1 cm deep.
3. Temperature and Humidity: Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. The temperature should be around 20-25°C, which is ideal for germination.
4. Seedlings: Once the seeds germinate (usually takes 2-4 weeks), you can transplant the seedlings into individual pots.
5. Seedling Care: Keep seedlings in a sufficiently bright location, protected from direct sunlight. Water regularly and fertilize with flowering plant fertilizer.
6. Transplanting into Soil: After developing a sufficiently strong root system, you can transplant the seedlings into the ground in a sunny location. Make sure they have enough space to grow.
7. Support and Maintenance: Passion fruit needs support in the form of a fence, barrier or pergola. Regularly remove dead shoots and fertilize with organic fertilizer.
8. Watering and Frost Protection: Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Protect young plants from frost.
9. Harvest: Yellow passion fruit fruits ripen in autumn. Harvest them when they are yellow and fully ripe.
