1. Seed Stratification: some sources recommend seed stratification for better germination. This means placing the seeds for several weeks in a moist environment at approximately 4-8 °C.
2. Preparing Growing Containers: fill pots or seed trays with suitable garden substrate. Make sure the substrate is well-draining.
3. Sowing Seeds: carefully sow the seeds into the substrate about 1 cm apart. Cover them with a thin layer of soil.
4. Watering: water the seeds carefully so that the substrate is moist but not waterlogged. Use a spray bottle or gentle water flow to avoid damaging the seeds.
5. Temperature and Light: place the growing containers in a warm and bright location with a temperature around 20-25 °C. Keep them near a light source, such as a window or artificial lighting.
6. Germination: seeds should start germinating within 2-3 weeks.
7. Seedling Care: once the seedlings have grown and developed sufficiently strong roots, transplant them into individual pots with more space for root growth.
8. Plant Care: water the seedlings regularly, keeping the substrate moist but not waterlogged. Gradually increase the amount of sunlight so the plants can adapt to higher light intensity.
