The Banyan fig is a tree originating from Southeast Asia, specifically from the region of India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and other surrounding countries. This tree is known for its characteristic growth form. It tends to develop very extensive roots that grow from its branches down towards the ground, and when they reach the ground, they take root and form a new trunk in the shape of a tree. This peculiarity creates the impression that one tree is capable of covering a large area. However, such a tree is usually actually an entire colony of trees together. The Banyan fig is also an important part of local cultures and religions in its area of origin. In some cultures, it is considered sacred.

1. Soil preparation: select a suitable substrate for seed germination. Ideal is a mixture of peat, perlite and garden soil, which ensures good drainage and nutrition for germinating seeds.
2. Seed germination: you can soak the seeds in water for several hours to soften them and speed up their germination. Then you can place them on the surface of the substrate and gently cover them with a layer of soil.
3. Creating a humid environment: after sowing the seeds, it is advisable to create a humid environment, for example by covering the container with plastic film or glass. This will help maintain constant moisture around the seeds and promote germination.
4. Temperature and light: maintain a temperature of around 25-30 °C in the container with germinating seeds and ensure they have sufficient light, but protect them from direct sunlight.
5. Seedling care: once the seeds germinate and develop their first leaves, you can remove the plastic film or glass to help the plants adapt to normal conditions.
6. Transplanting: once the plants are sufficiently strong, you can transplant them into larger pots and gradually increase the pot size according to their growth.
