Pelargoniums are annual and perennial plants, represented by approximately 300 species. They belong to the Geraniaceae family and originate from South Africa.
They are not just ornamental plants – pelargoniums are also used in dyeing, cosmetics (e.g., for perfume production), folk medicine, or as flavoring in cooking.
Geraniums are a popular decoration for our balconies – we most commonly grow zonal geraniums and trailing geraniums. They are almost maintenance-free, disease-resistant, and ideal even for beginners.
