You can choose from several types of edging.
Garden Edging
- Ikra plastic garden edging is supplied in brown and terracotta colours. For 10 metres of edging you will need 20 pieces of edging elements. The length of one edging piece is approximately 0.5 m. - The garden palisade called Happy grass also protrudes above the ground and is made of quality plastic. With one package of this palisade you can border 3.1 m of flower bed. Individual palisade parts are easily anchored in the soil using pointed spikes. Gardeners will certainly appreciate the mowing edge over which the lawnmower wheel can roll, so the grass will be mowed right up to the edge of the palisade. Happy grass palisade allows you to border a flower bed of any shape. Happy grass palisade is supplied in terracotta colour.
- Another type of edging is a corrugated plastic strip. This edging is supplied in 9-metre rolls and in widths of 10 cm, 15 cm and 20 cm. Corrugated plastic edging is available in green, dark green and brown colours. This edging can be buried up to ground level, so you can easily run a lawnmower over it without any problems. However, the main function will be maintained - you separate the flower bed from the lawn.
- A similar type of edging is the plastic Basic 5200 edging manufactured in 6-metre length and 10 cm width. The colour of this edging is dark green. Basic edging is anchored to the ground using nails. The edging can be laid in any length, thanks to a secure connection using a sleeve and nail. This edging is buried in the ground, so you can easily run a lawnmower over it without problems. The edgings are very easily shapeable and correctly laid edging is almost invisible. The advantage of this edging is a guaranteed lifespan of at least 15 years.
Using Garden Edging
Garden edging has wide applications. You can use it to separate flower beds from lawns, and it's also proven effective for creating pathways between individual beds. Soil bordered by edging won't be able to shift anywhere, so your beds will stay in the same place even after heavy rain. Using edging, you can easily create an ornamental flower bed in the middle of your lawn and be sure that grass won't grow into it. Edging protruding above ground beautifully keeps soil and mulch bark in place. Sunken edging even serves two functions - it keeps soil in place and additionally prevents deep roots of weeds and grass from growing through. Thanks to edging and borders, your gardens and beds will look picture-perfect.
Installing Garden Edging and Borders
Installing garden edging and borders is very simple. Plastic edging made of individual parts is equipped with sharp spikes that fix the edging in the ground. For greater stability, first dig a trench as deep as you want the garden edging to protrude. Place the edging in it and fill with soil. Installing wavy edging and Basic edging is very similar. The edging is almost completely inserted into the prepared trench and filled with soil. When installing Happy Grass garden border, you don't even need to dig a trench - individual border parts are stuck directly into the lawn with their sharp spike.
