Dicot Weeds Can Be Eliminated with Bofix and Ranger Products
Dicot weeds represent a significant problem in lawns, gardens, and agricultural areas. These unwanted plants compete with cultivated crops for water, nutrients, and light, which can significantly reduce yields and negatively affect the overall appearance of green spaces. Fortunately, there are effective herbicides on the market that can help eliminate these weeds - Bofix and Ranger.
What Are Dicot Weeds?
Dicot weeds are plants that have two cotyledons (seed leaves) during germination. This group includes many common weeds such as dandelion, clover, plantain, chickweed, and many others. These plants often have broad leaves and are characterized by rapid growth and high reproduction capacity, making them difficult to control manually.

Prevention Is Key
Although Bofix and Ranger are effective tools for controlling dicot weeds, prevention is the best approach. Regular lawn maintenance, proper fertilization, and mowing at the correct height can significantly reduce the occurrence of weeds. Healthy and dense lawns naturally suppress weed growth.
Conclusion
Dicot weeds don't have to be an insurmountable problem. With Bofix and Ranger products, you can effectively eliminate unwanted plants and maintain your lawn and garden in perfect condition. The key to success is correct application, following instructions, and combining chemical control with preventive measures. This way, you'll achieve a beautiful, healthy lawn that will be the pride of your garden.

Selective Herbicides for Lawn Weed Control
Weeds are the enemy of every gardener. Fighting them is always very demanding and time-consuming. Weeds can be removed mechanically or with chemical products. Mechanical weeding is demanding and the effect is not perfect. Weeds usually cannot be removed completely; remnants of rhizomes remain in the soil, which will sprout again very soon. Moreover, constant weeding in larger gardens is almost unthinkable.
A gardener who would like to attempt growing a perfect English lawn this way would spend most of their time with a mower in one hand and a weed puller in the other. Simpler and also more effective is fighting weeds with selective herbicides designed for controlling broadleaf weeds.
What Are Selective Herbicides
Selective herbicides are designed to act only on selected plant groups. For controlling weeds in lawns, a selective herbicide for broadleaf weeds is suitable - i.e., weeds with leaves. These selective herbicides destroy only unwanted plants - for example, dandelions, daisies, and plantains. However, they do not damage grass as a monocotyledonous plant. Which selective herbicides to choose? Try Bofix and Ranger
Bofix
The selective herbicide Bofix is a very effective product for controlling resistant broadleaf weeds in ornamental and utility lawns. It is available in various package sizes, you can choose from 50 ml, 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml, and 1l packages. The selective herbicide Bofix is supplied in the form of a micronized suspension-emulsion concentrate, which is applied by spraying. The active ingredients of Bofix penetrate very quickly through the leaves into the entire plants after application. The effect of Bofix is therefore visible within a few hours after application.
The spectrum of broadleaf plants that the selective herbicide Bofix acts on is wide. It has excellent effects on ribwort plantain, dandelion, cleavers, chickweed, chamomile, sorrels, common groundsel, lawn daisy, black bindweed, henbit deadnettle, dead-nettles, common nettle, stinging nettle, docks, field forget-me-not, field pennycress, shepherd's purse, common fumitory, corn poppy, fumitory, black nightshade, field bindweed, bramble, weedy clovers, fat hen, spurges, and creeping thistle.
Application Time for Bofix Selective Herbicide
To achieve the best effect of Bofix, it must be applied at the right time. The broadleaf weeds that Bofix controls are most sensitive when they have 2-4 leaves.
For cleavers control, the suitable application time is during the 1-4 whorl stage. Creeping thistle is very resistant, so it should have developed enough leaves to absorb Bofix. It is recommended to wait until the leaf rosette develops and the creeping thistle reaches approximately 10% of its final size.
The application timing of Bofix also depends on the type of lawn. On newly established lawns, Bofix is applied from the three-leaf stage of grasses onwards. On mature ornamental lawns and sports turf, the selective herbicide Bofix is applied as needed, typically approximately 2-14 days before planned mowing.
A longer interval between application and mowing is advisable when controlling perennial weeds - such as common daisy and field bindweed, to allow the active ingredients of Bofix to reach the roots and destroy them as well.
Grasses intended for seed production are usually sprayed at a height of approximately 15-20 cm. In any case, wait at least 2 days after mowing before applying Bofix. Postpone its use also in case of any mechanical damage to the lawn. Control broadleaf weeds with Bofix a maximum of once per growing season.
Application of Bofix
Application of Bofix is carried out by spraying, which must be prepared in advance. Fill the approved sprayer halfway with water, then pour in the measured amount of the product. After mixing, fill the sprayer with water.
The recommended dosage is 4 l per 1 ha. Approximately 250-400 l of prepared solution is applied per 1 ha of area.
During application, it is important to follow basic safety instructions. Use protective clothing, rubber gloves and preferably also a protective face shield. When working with Bofix, eating, drinking and smoking are prohibited. Spray the selective herbicide Bofix only in calm conditions. Application in wind could cause spray drift and affect surrounding vegetation. For example, grapevine is very sensitive to Bofix. After application, allow the treated grass to dry thoroughly. The treated area must not come into contact with water for at least 2 hours (rain, irrigation), to avoid reducing the effectiveness of Bofix.
First Aid
In case of accidental ingestion, rinse the mouth with water, do not induce vomiting, immediately seek medical help or contact your local poison control centre, and keep the product label at hand. The affected person must seek medical attention as soon as possible.
Rinse the affected eye with a stream of clean water for at least 15 minutes. It is advisable to seek medical attention, especially in case of severe contact and persistent irritation. Treat affected skin by washing with warm water and soap. In case of inhalation of Bofix, first aid consists of stopping work, ensuring sufficient supply of fresh air and securing a rest position in a warm place.
Ranger
Another highly effective selective herbicide designed to control broadleaf weeds is the Ranger product containing four active ingredients that complement each other perfectly and are therefore effective against a wide spectrum of weeds.
It is maximally effective even against creeping weeds. Ranger product is available in 50 ml, 100 ml, 250 ml and 500 ml packages. Ranger product is applied by spraying onto plant leaves from which the active ingredients are transported throughout the entire plants.
Weeds die completely after Ranger product application. Treatment with Ranger selective herbicide needs to be performed only once per season. Ranger product is applied by spraying or watering. When applying with a watering can, however, a decrease in effectiveness cannot be excluded. Ranger product is diluted for spray application at a ratio of 100 ml / 100 m2. When treating by watering, the dosage ratio is 10 ml / 10 m2. 10 litres of prepared application liquid will spray 100 m2 of area. When applying with a watering can, 10 litres of solution will cover 10 m2 of area.
Ranger product is designed for treating well-established compact lawns older than one year. Application is carried out on emerged weeds. Application must not be carried out in direct sunlight, wind or rain.
Before applying Bofix and Ranger selective herbicides, always read the package leaflet and follow the safety instructions!
