Summer head cabbage MARS red is a mid-early variety of red cabbage intended for summer harvest from the end of July to October.
Characteristics of the variety
- medium purple, round head
- the head is well closed and firm, with a medium-sized inner core
- resistance to splitting and overripening
- suitable for direct consumption
How to grow
Cabbage is grown in a sunny position in nutrient-rich soil with plenty of moisture. Sow the seeds in spring for pre-growing and plant the seedlings out in the bed. During growing, water the plants regularly and remove weeds.
Red cabbage is suitable for salads, for stewing and with meat. It is prepared fresh or preserved.
