Dimorphotheca (African daisy) mix

Dimorphotheca sinuata

Native to southern Africa, the Orange African Daisy is one of the most beautiful annuals. In its homeland, it's called the African violet. It grows to a height of 25-30 cm. It blooms with yellow-orange flowers that can reach up to 15 cm in diameter. The flowering period is from July to August, often extending into September.

Suitable for planting in containers, window boxes, or flower beds. It can be grown alone or combined with other species that have similar requirements. It creates beautiful contrasts with ornamental grasses, sunflowers, chrysanthemums, sage, or dahlias.

How to Grow Orange African Daisy

• Requires a sunny location. Does not bloom in partial shade. Keep the soil moderately moist. Waterlogging or watering on the leaves can damage the plant. Regularly remove spent flowers to ensure continuous blooming.

• Sow seeds in March. Use seed-starting mix with good drainage and keep it consistently moist. Seeds germinate within 1 month.

Seeds can also be sown directly outdoors after the last frost, but the plants will bloom later.

• Requires loamy-sandy soil with sufficient nutrients. Neutral soil pH.

• Apply fertilizer every 14 days. Use fertilizer designed for all flowering plants or universal fertilizer, such as Cererit.

• Do not water the leaves. The plant can be susceptible to fungal diseases.
