Brachycome iberidifolia
Annual flowering from June to September. Reaches heights up to 35 cm. Quickly spreads into lush clumps adorned with daisy-like flowers in blue or yellow colours. Blooms tirelessly until the first frosts. Usually flowers so profusely that its green parts (leaves) are covered by a flood of blooms. Suitable companions in the bed are verbenas (Verbena) or tickseed (Coreopsis).The annual is also suitable for rock gardens as a ground cover. Besides bed plantings and containers, it's also suitable as underplanting beneath standard plants.
How to Grow Swan River Daisy
Requires full sun and good drainage. Cannot tolerate waterlogging or drying out. Best watered into a saucer. Plants tolerate slight shading.
Sow seeds in spring (approximately March) into seed-starting substrate. Maintain at a temperature of 18-21°C. Don't press seeds in, just lightly dust with substrate. Place under glass or in a bag in a bright location. Germinates within 21 days.
Plant in substrate for balcony plants or in regular garden soil.
Apply fertiliser for flowering or balcony plants once every 1-2 weeks.
The plant doesn't suffer from pests or diseases.
