Calendula officinalis tall Kablouna

Tall Calendula officinalis Kablouna

Medium-tall calendula with large double flowers. A distinctive feature of this variety is the prominent central disc composed of short tubular florets. An undemanding branched annual with lanceolate, aromatic leaves. Suitable for bedding and cut flowers. Orange flowers are used in tea blends and for preparing calendula ointment. It thrives in sunny and airy positions, in soil with sufficient lime. Do not over-fertilize with nitrogen - it flowers poorly. To prolong flowering, remove spent flower heads; seed formation inhibits the development of new flowers.
