Use of silicon in hydroponics:

Although silicon is identified as one of the basic building blocks of plants, it is found exclusively naturally in soil, but not in hydroponic solution. When plants absorb silicon contained in soil, this silicon is deposited into cell walls and provides them with structural strength and resilience.

This allows plants to better resist the effects of insects or diseases that are associated with tissue penetration. Since most fungal diseases require initial tissue penetration, strengthening this protective layer means better resistance to various diseases. Silicon also helps ensure uniform nutrient absorption into plant tissue and reduces water loss through transpiration. Silicon is considered an immobile element. Once the plant incorporates it into its cell wall, it can no longer move it elsewhere. Important points when applying the product:

Fill the reservoir with water, dilute the silicon and add it to the reservoir, mix well and then add the nutrient. Caution! It must be taken into account that if you add the nutrient first, the solution will turn white and this leads to subsequent degradation.
