Use

Push the cane into the substrate next to the plant deep enough that it does not tip over under load. Tie the stem to it with a loose loop of soft twine or a clip so that it does not cut into the stem. Add ties as the plant grows. After the season, clean the canes, dry them and store them in a dry place, where they will last you until the next season.
