Shows and horticultural fairs are places where thousands of enthusiastic gardeners come every year to discover the hottest novelties. Gardeners love to show off their produce, so a garden show can be found in almost every town. However, public interest in small club shows is declining year by year, and so it happens that small exhibitors are slowly giving up on shows. The large horticultural shows and fairs have a completely different scale. People can buy almost everything connected in any way with gardening here, and often also things that have nothing at all to do with it. Shows with a long tradition and the annual favour of many thousands of visitors are Flora in Olomouc or Zahrada Čech in Litomerice. Gardeners in Slovakia are not left short either. They can find some speciality for their garden at the show Záhradkár in Trenčín, at Gardenia in Nitra or at Flóra in Bratislava. So where should you go in the Czech Republic and Slovakia?
